Frederic Hendrickx

Frederic Hendrickx obtained his JD in law at the KU Leuven and studied Environmental Science at the University of Antwerp as well as Environmental and Energy law at Copenhagen University. After 6 years in a US law firm at the Brussels Bar, he joined General Electric, a client of his, as company lawyer in different divisions (first GE Plastics in the Netherlands, then GE Water in Belgium and finally as Global General Counsel of GE Life Sciences in Sweden and subsequently the UK. From 2015 till the end of 2024 Frederic was the Chief Legal & Risk Officer at Bridgestone Europe, Middle East, India & Africa. In this role he was the management board member responsible for Legal Services, Risk Management, Intellectual Property, Compliance and Internal Audit.

Frederic held executive and non-executive board and board committee positions in companies in Belgium, the US, Dubai, Russia and India, as well as a non-executive board position at a public company listed on the Istanbul stock exchange.

In early 2025, he started a consultancy firm supporting scale-ups, Private Equity firms and Venture Capital funds in the management and mitigation of Governance, Regulatory and Compliance risks in their (portfolio) companies, combining his experience in risk management and M&A with an agile and pragmatic “focus on what matters” approach tailored to small and mid-cap businesses.
